Wise Virtual Package Editor Reference
The SVS Driver runtime does not appear in Add/Remove Programs on the end user's
computer. The end user can do one of the following to remove the SVS Driver
runtime:
Run the following command line: Msiexec.exe /x {7D8DBB7C-1C55-4950-A107-
043C164F379A}.
Double-click the Software_Virtualization_Runtime.msi in the C:\Program
Files\Symantec\Setup Files\Software Virtualization Solution directory and select
the Remove option.
Warning
If the end user removes the SVS Driver runtime, any application that is installed
into an SVS layer will become non-functional.

Execution of the .EXE wrapper
When an end user runs the default WiseScript .EXE wrapper, the .EXE wrapper does
the following on their computer:
Determines whether the .VRA file has already been imported into an SVS layer
on the computer. If a .VRA file with the same GUID already exists, a message
informs the end user and the installation ends.
Displays installation dialogs.
Determines whether a compatible version of the SVS Driver (Software
Virtualization Agent) is installed.
If a compatible version of the SVS Driver is not found and if the logic to install
the SVS Driver runtime is not included in the release, the .EXE wrapper displays
an error message and the installation ends.
If a compatible version of the SVS Driver is not found and if the logic to install
the SVS Driver runtime is included in the release, the .EXE wrapper does one of
the following to install the SVS Driver.
If a full version of the SVS Driver is installed, a compatible full version is
downloaded and installed.
If you selected the option on the Release Details dialog to download the
driver, the SVS Driver runtime is downloaded and installed.
If you selected the option on the Release Details dialog to include the driver,
the SVS Driver runtime is installed.
Prompts the end user to restart the computer if the SVS Driver was installed.
The computer must be restarted to complete the installation of the SVS Driver.
Creates an SVS layer for the .VRA file and imports the .VRA file into the layer.
Activates the virtual software layer.
Displays a Finish dialog.
The virtualized application then looks and behaves like any other application to the
end user.
Install SVS Package WiseScript action
If you use the Install SVS Package action in WiseScript Package Editor and mark the
option to bind the WiseScript to a .WVP release, then that WiseScript appears as a
