5. Drum Overheads (XY example) – Place two small
diaphragm condenser microphones on an XY stereo
microphone holder (bar). Position microphones so that each
microphone is at a 45 degree angle pointed down at the
drum kit approximately seven or eight feet up. Experiment
with height.
