There are a few things to do before you can fully enjoy all of the features of your HDTV. These
include: selecting the menu language (if you prefer to read the menus in French or Spanish,
rather than English), memorizing channels, adding and deleting channels, setting the time and
date, setting up favorite channels, fine tuning analog channels, checking digital channel signal
strength and adjusting the convergence.

Selecting the Menu Language

To select a language other than English:

Highlight the Setup icon and press ENTER.

Highlight Select Menu Language and press
ENTER repeatedly until the menu language you desire
(English, Spanish or French) is displayed.
The menus will change to the language you select.

Press EXIT to exit the menus.

Memorizing Channels

Your HDTV memorizes and stores all of the channels it can
receive. If you connected cable TV or an indoor/outdoor antenna
you must memorize the channels before you can view them. If
you connected both cable TV and an indoor/outdoor antenna, you
must memorize each set of channels separately.
To memorize channels:

Highlight the Setup icon and press ENTER.

Highlight Setup Channels and press ENTER.

Highlight Memorize Channels and press ENTER.

Select the kind of antenna you connected:

If you connected an indoor/outdoor antenna,
highlight the Indoor/Outdoor icon and press ENTER.
Then, highlight Start and press ENTER.

If you connected a cable antenna,
Cable icon and press ENTER. Then, select the kind of cable system you have
(STD, HRC, IRC or AFN) and press ENTER. (If you do not know what kind
of cable system you have, consult your cable TV company.) Highlight the
Start icon and press ENTER.
The HDTV will begin to memorize all of the channels it can receive. This will
take a few minutes. After all channels are memorized you will see an on-screen
message:
Now updating channel map...
When this message disappears, the HDTV will return to the Setup Channels menu.
