Replacing the BJ Print
Head
After cleaning and deep cleaning the print head, and replacing empty ink
tanks, if the nozzle check patterns are still not crisp and clear, the BJ Print
Head is worn out or damaged and must be replaced. Purchase a new BJ
Print Head BJ-50 and follow the procedure below to replace the BJ Print
Head.
• Discard the old BJ Print Head according to the local laws and regulations regarding disposal of

Replace the BJ Print Head
1.
Make sure the printer is switched on then open the front
cover.
• The print head holder moves to the centre automatically.

Raise the lock lever to unlock the BJ Print Head.

Grip the pads on both sides of the BJ Print Head and
remove the entire BJ Print Head with the ink tanks in
place.
