Quick Start Guide
We know you're excited about owning an ASKO dishwasher and you're anxious to get started, so here's a brief summary of the operation
procedures. The page references in this Guide refer to the Use and Care Guide. To get the most out of your dishwasher's features, we
recommend that you read the Use and Care Guide.
THE CONTROL PANEL
THE CONTROL PANEL
Model D1796FI has a touchpad control panel, as illustrated below. To turn the power on, press the button on the far left of the control
panel. To select a wash program or option, simply press the appropriate touchpad. When you press a touchpad, a red indicator light at
the upper left of the touchpad glows to show that you selected that program or option. After you've selected the desired wash programs
and options, press Start. At this point, the indicator lights will flash rapidly, alternating from left to right, to show that the dishwasher is
ready. Simply close the door securely to start the machine.
On/Off Control
Press this button to turn power
to the machine on and off.
Touchpad Controls
Press these touchpads to select
programs and options.
PROGRAMS AND OPTIONS
PROGRAMS AND OPTIONS
Your ASKO dishwasher has four wash programs and other options specifically designed to reduce your energy costs and make your life
easier. Press the On/Off button to turn the machine on, then select the desired program and option(s).
Programs
Pots and pans
For the heaviest soiled loads, such as pots, pans,
casseroles, etc.
Normal
For normal wash loads.
Quick
For lightly soiled loads. Items such as fine china and
crystal can be washed in this program, but you should
use the low temperature setting and turn off the Heat
Dry. (Recommend 130°F)
Rinse & hold
To rinse dishes that you plan to wash later that day.
After you've selected the wash program and options, press Start. The indicator lights will flash rapidly, alternating from left
to right. This merely means the machine is ready. Close the door securely to start the dishwasher. (See also "Understanding
the Indicator Lights" on the next page.)
PROGRAM MEMORY
PROGRAM MEMORY
If you select the Pans/Sani or Normal wash program, the dishwasher retains the setting until you change them. So when you turn the
machine on the next time, the indicator lights for the program and options you last used will be lit. Simply press Start and close the door. If
you want to change the settings, press the touchpad(s) for the other program or options you want to use, then press Start and close the door.
Indicator Lights
These lights glow red to indicate which
program and options you have selected.
Refer to your Use and Care Guide for additional information.
SUPER CLEANING SYSTEM
Start
After you've selected the desired wash program and options,
press this touchpad and close the door to start the dishwasher.
Options
Temperature
Lets you select a high or low water temperature for the
wash programs (except Rinse). (See "Temperature
Options" on the next page.) The indicator light glows when
it's on the high setting and remains off when set on low.
Heat Dry
This option lets you turn the heating element on or off during
the drying cycle. The indicator light glows when the heating
element is activated.
