Engine Compartment Never mount this unit in the engine compartment. Mounting the unit in the engine compartment will void your warranty. Trunk Mounting Mounting the amplifier vertically will provide adequate cooling of the amplifier. If you will be mounting it to an existing panel, be sure it’s not prone to excessive vibration (such as mounting to the back of a subwoofer enclosure). - Page 8 Connect the car speakers. Speakers should be 4 Ohms. If connecting one speaker per channel as shown in the diagrams (except where noted on D3 600.1/D3 1000.1). Strip the speaker wires 1/2” (12.7mm) and insert into the speaker terminal block, then tighten the set screw to secure into place.
