    Easy Setup and Operation Connecting a DVD player and monitor TV • To connect the video output from the DVD player to the AVR-786, you only need to choose one connection type. Component video connection offers the best quality (and is required for progressive DVD playback), followed by S-Video, while composite video offers the lowest picture quality of the three connection types.
