Check Front-Panel Indicators

The indicator lights (LEDs) on the front of the tower show the
status of the tower, server, and CD/DVD-ROM drives.
On the tower nearest the top (when floor mounted):
Power is green (on) when power is connected to the tower and
the power switch is on.
On the server module, from left to right:
Status is green or off during start-up. When the server is ready
for use, Status remains green (on) (see page 10-3). For an error
condition, it is red or flashing yellow (see page 10-4).
SCSI is green or yellow during start-up. When the server is
ready for use SCSI is off, or blinking green when a disc is
being read, or blinking green when writing to HP J4150A's
hard disk (see page 10-3). For an error condition, it is red (see
page 10-4).
Network is blinking green whenever a packet is received on an
100-Mbit/s network, and blinking yellow on a 10-Mbit/s
network. If the link is lost, it is red.
Power is on when power is connected from tower to server.
On the HP disc drives, from left to right:
(Only on J3278B and J4150A CD-ROM drives) DISC
is on (green) when power is connected from the tower to the
drive and a CD is inserted. It is off when no CD is inserted.
(Only on J3278B and J4150A CD-ROM drives) ON/BUSY or
(Only on J4152A DVD-ROM drives) BUSY
is on when power is connected from the tower to the drive.
It blinks in synchrony with access to an inserted disc. It is off
when an inserted disc is not being accessed.
