IBM SurePOS 500 4840

To fully configure SLED 11 to run on an IBM SurePOS 500 4840:
1. Install SLED 11 according to the documentation at http://www.novell.com/documentation/sled11/
index.html.
2. Launch the terminal application from Init 3 text console mode.
3. Perform the procedures in "FBdev driver configuration" on page 6.
4. Perform the procedures in "Serial touch screen calibration" on page 3.
5. (PS/2 mouse only) Connect the PS/2 mouse to a Y splitter before you connect it to the PS/2 port on the
system.

IBM SurePOS 500 4846-5xx

To fully configure SLED 11 to run on an IBM SurePOS 500 4846-5xx:
1. Install SLED 11 according to the documentation at http://www.novell.com/documentation/sled11/
index.html.
2. Ensure that you are only using 24-bit default color depth for the integrated monitor.
3. Perform the procedures in "Serial touch screen calibration" on page 3.

IBM SurePOS 500 4851/4951-514

To fully configure SLED 11 to run on an IBM SurePOS 700 4851/4951-514:
1. Install SLED 11 according to the documentation at http://www.novell.com/documentation/sled11/
index.html.
2. Launch the terminal application from Init 3 text console mode and use a text editor to add the bold
line below to the indicated section in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file:

To fully configure SLED 11 to run on an IBM SurePOS 700 4800-7x1:

2. Launch the terminal application from Init 3 text console mode.
