5.1 Connecting to the Internet

In the Home screen, select Settings > Data Connections
from the Start menu to access the Data Connections screen
(as shown below). The settings in this screen enable you
to set up Dial-up, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Proxy, and
General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) connections so you
can connect to the Internet or your corporate network.
With a data connection, you can browse the World Wide
Web, download E-mail, chat using MSN Messenger, or
synchronise wirelessly with the server. Check with your
service provider to see if a data connection has already
been set up for you, and if over-the-air configuration is
supported.
Dial-up Connections
You need to set up a dial-up connection to connect directly
to the Internet or to your corporate network.
