The Status Bar
The status bar appears when you press a control button (such as PLAY, FWD, or

white line shows where you are in the current title or track and the symbols under the bar
show which control buttons are in use. Press CLEAR to hide the status bar.
Searching for a Title, Chapter, Track, or Location on a Disc
CDs generally have multiple music tracks and DVDs are generally divided into one or
more titles. A DVD's titles may be further subdivided into chapters. Your Recorder offers
different ways of accessing the information on a DVD or CD:
Search for titles or chapters on a DVD-Video
Search for tracks on a CD
Select the point in time to start playback.
