If you need to replace the battery, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off and unplug the computer and any external
components connected to it.
2.
Remove the system unit cover. Observe all safety
precautions when removing the cover.
3.
Locate the battery socket on the system board. You may
have to remove any expansion boards in the way.
NOTE
This procedure is for system boards using the
3-volt lithium battery shown in the following figure.
