How to perform the update
The files required for the update are stored as compressed data in a Zip file for free download from our internet
presence. Once unpacked the files provide a so-called card image which shall be copied to an empty SD card into a
user created folder called "VDODayton"
Note: Do not add, modify or delete any files
The update starts automatically when the SD card is inserted into PC 5200' card slot #2.
Please follow the below-mentioned steps:
Download the current Zip file:
" 528578_PC52000290prod.zip" for PC5200/40 and PC5200PT/40
" 528572_PC5200pro0610.zip" for PC5200pro and PC5200PTpro
to the HDD of your computer
Insert an empty SD card to your PC' card reader.
Note:
Do not use other decompression software than WinZip since it may cause errors.
If necessary, format the SD card with option Format "FAT".
Before
formatting,
make sure that there are no more files on the SD card which you still want to use later on.
Minimum required capacity is 128MB, max. 2GB
Copy whole folder structure 1:1 as it was decompressed.
Remove the SD card from card reader after all copy process is finished
Turn on your PC5200 system
Confirm the legal disclaimer
Insert now the SD card into slot #2 (remove eventual present map SD card before)
Note:
The update only starts when the card is inserted in slot #2 after the legal disclaimer has been confirmed
A screen shall appear asking for your confirmation to update the system.
After confirmation the update process is full automatic running. At the end the system performs an automatic restart.
Once the legal disclaimer appears again after the update, the SD card shall be removed, except you want to load one of
new 5 voices. In this case first follow the voice loading instruction in system's manual.
The update process is now finished. PC5200 resp. PC5200pro configuration information should show now "SW Number: for
e.g.:0290 resp. 0610.
