Route Preference: Fastest calculates routes based on time. Shortest
calculates routes based on distance. Major Roads calculates routes using
major roads. Local Roads calculates routes with local roads.
Ferries: When checked, routes are calculated to include ferries where
available. Note that ferry schedules cannot be included in estimating arrival
times.
Toll Roads: When checked, routes are calculated to include toll roads where
available.
To set the route options:
Tap Menu and then tap Route Options.

Tap the Options menu and then tap Route Options.
The Customise Your Route screen appears.
Tap your Route Preference.

To include Ferries, tap to turn on the check mark.

To include Toll Roads, tap to turn on the check mark.

Tap OK to set your route options.
