Chapter 5: Advanced Features
Dialup Settings
This screen allows you to select or change your dialing preferences, including dialing
method, dialing prefix, and call waiting disable (you did this in the Quick Start
procedure).
1. Press SETUP (the SETUP menu appears).
2. Press the down arrow button until network configuration is highlighted, then press
OK/SELECT (the SETUP — NETWORK CONFIGURATION menu appears).
3. Press the down arrow button until dialup settings is highlighted, then press OK/
SELECT (the DIALUP SETTINGS screen appears).
4. Enter your login information and choose the desired settings.
To enter text, press the desired number button repeatedly and scroll through the
letters assigned to that button until you see the desired letter. To delete a character,
press REV•DEL. To move the cursor, use the arrow buttons.
The password will appear as visible text when the field is empty AND you are
entering the password. Once you move from the password field or whenever you
return to this screen, the password text is hidden.
5. Highlight test connection and press OK/SELECT. The test results are displayed.
6. When finished, highlight save and press OK/SELECT.
Ethernet Settings
Choose your Ethernet connection Internet Protocol method (dynamic or manual). If you
choose manual (static), enter all of the IP information provided by your ISP.
1. Press SETUP (the SETUP menu appears).
2. Press the down arrow button until network configuration is highlighted, then press
OK/SELECT (the SETUP — NETWORK CONFIGURATION menu appears).
3. Press the down arrow button until ethernet settings is highlighted, then press OK/
SELECT (the ETHERNET SETTINGS screen appears).
4. Enter your connection type and choose the desired settings.
To enter text, press the desired number button repeatedly and scroll through the
letters assigned to that button until you see the desired letter. To delete a character,
press REV•DEL. To move the cursor, use the arrow buttons.
5. Highlight test ethernet and press OK/SELECT. The test results are displayed.
6. When finished, highlight save and press OK/SELECT.
