To set a language other
than those listed, select
[Others] and enter the
language code.
Note:
Refer to the "Language code list" on page 96 for language codes.
If the priority audio language is already registered for the disc, the audio language registered on the disc is used to
play back. If the disc does not contain the set audio language, that language cannot be played.
On ......... Displays the multi angle mark.
Off ......... Does not display the multi angle mark.
The setting changes as shown below, every time "DVD software mode" is selected.
16:9 Wide
4:3 Letterbox
16:9 Wide .............. plays a video in wide screen (16:9).
4:3 Letterbox ......... plays wide-screen video in Letterbox mode (in which black bands appear at the top and bottom
of the screen).
4:3 Pan & Scan ..... plays wide-screen video in Pan & Scan mode (in which the left and right edges of the screen
are cut off).
Enter a 4-digit code number and select [Enter].
Select [
] to delete one character.
Note:
At the time of purchase, no code number has been
set. The 4-digit number entered when making the
initial settings becomes the code number.
If no code number has been entered, the code
number is displayed at the top as "----".
Once a code number is entered, the code number
will be required the next time the item is used, and
thereafter. Do not forget the code number. If you
forget your code number, touch [
initialize the setting (returning to the state with no
code number setting).

can be played (play of adult-oriented DVD
video is prohibited).
Level 8:
All DVD can be played.
Note:
If the parental lock applies to a DVD that is played, the
code number input screen is displayed. Playback starts
after the correct code number is input and [Enter] is
selected.
