Connecting your unit to an external video source - Input 1
A composite connection is the most widely used type of connection. This connector is colored yellow, and is normally
accompanied by stereo audio inputs, colored red and white for stereo channels right and left, respectively. Your unit
also support S-Video and Progressive Scan video input connections. The audio input will work with all three video
inputs supported by INPUT 1.

COMPONENT VIDEO, the highest quality video connection,
requires a special Component/P-SCAN Video Cable (not
included), with separate connectors for the Y, Pb/Cb, and Pr/Cr
signals. You can only use the Progressive Scan Video Input
feature with a source (DVD player) supporting Component
Obtain a special Component Video Cable and

connect the YCbCr outputs from your source to
those on your TV.
Press the "AV" key repeatedly on the remote control

to select the "YPbPr1" input. The TV will display
the Video input on-screen.

S-VIDEO, is a higher quality connection than standard
composite video, and requires a special S-Video cable (not
included). The S-Video connector is distinguishable by its 4 pins,
as shown below. If your VCR, or other source, has an S-Video
input, it's recommended that you use this type of connection for
better picture quality.
Obtain a special S-Video Cable and connect the S-

Video outputs from your source to those on your TV.
Press the "AV" key to select "S-Video".

Obtain a Composite Video Cable and connect to
the VIDEO input from your source to TV. Press
the "AV" key repeatedly until the "AV 1"
appears on-screen.
