Navigating the Calculator Operations
Use the
and
keys to move around the calculator and
highlight a desired calculation symbol or operator. Press
select it.
The + sign is highlighted as the default.
If the right most symbol or operator is selected and you press
, the highlight will move to the left most symbol or operator.
If the left most symbol or operator is selected and you press
the highlight will move to the right most symbol or operator
Using the Calculator
To enter numbers, use the phone's keypad. Each number you
enter appears at the end of the line and any previously entered
numbers move one position to the left.
The numbers that you enter and the results of any calculations
appear in the display area for numbers and results.
The calculator display always starts with a default value of
zero
The value you enter and the result of any calculation can
have up to 10 digits including the decimal point.
To delete a single number or character from the display, press
. To delete your entire entry, select the CE operator.
If you try to perform an invalid calculation or operation ,
appears as the numeric value.
The example that follows illustrates how you use the keypad to
perform a simple calculation: 5 + 12 = 17
