How to use
IMPORTANT: Your blender jar and blending blades are subject
to wear during normal use. Always inspect jar for nicks,
chips, or cracks. Always inspect blending blades for broken,
cracked, or loose blades. If jar or blending blades are
damaged, do not use. Call our toll-free customer service
number to obtain replacement parts.
1. Make sure blender is unplugged. Place blender base on
clean, dry surface to keep foreign particles from being
pulled up into motor during operation.
2. To use thermal blending jar: Place assembled blending
jar with blending blades and SureLoc
onto blender base and turn collar to LOCK .
To use optional glass/plastic blending jars: Place
assembled blending jar with blending blades and
SureLoc ™ safety base collar onto blender base and turn
collar to LOCK .
4. Make sure the jar, collar, and blending blades are firmly
screwed onto the blender base. If not, they may loosen
later when motor is turned on.
5. Plug cord into outlet.
6. Put ingredients in jar; place lid on jar.
7. When blending hot liquids, open pour spout or remove
filler cap of two-piece lid. To prevent possible burns: do
not exceed the "MAX HOT LIQUID FILL" mark in the
Thermal Blending Jar or the 3-cup (750 ml) level on other
blending jars. Hot liquids may push off two-piece lid
during blending; therefore, with the protection of an oven
mitt or thick towel, place one hand on top of the lid, keep
exposed skin away from the lid, and start blending at
lowest speed.
8. ALWAYS turn blender off and wait until blades have
stopped rotating before removing jar.
9. To remove jar after blending is complete, turn SureLoc
safety base collar to UNLOCK . If jar is not easily
removed, gently rock and lift. Do not twist.
10. NEVER replace jar on blender base while motor is
running.
Control panel
Your blender is equipped with 10 speeds. To operate, first push
either the LO or HI button, then push the desired speed button.
LO speed buttons are located on the bottom row of the control
panel. HI speed buttons are located on the top row of the control
panel. Blending speed increases as the buttons are pushed left
to right.
When using PULSE the blender will operate only as long as
button is pushed. The remaining speed buttons will run the
blender until OFF is pushed.
Blender tips
• For best performance, the minimum amount of liquid needed

• If blending action stops during blending or ingredients stick to
sides of the jar, there may not be enough liquid in the jar to
blend effectively.
• Do not try to mash potatoes, mix stiff dough, whip egg whites,
grind raw meat, or extract juices from fruits and vegetables.

Blender Base
1. Unplug blender from electrical outlet.
2. Wipe blender base, control panel, and cord with a damp
cloth or sponge. To remove stubborn spots, use a mild,

3. To clean jar, unscrew collar and remove blending blades.
Do not try to separate the gasket from the blending blades.
4. Carefully wash jar(s), lid(s), collar(s), blending blades, and
filler cap* in hot, soapy water. (*Filler cap is an optional
accessory on select models.) Rinse and dry thoroughly.

6. Store blender with lid ajar to prevent container odor.
Quick Clean
To Quick Clean, pour 2 cups (500 ml) warm water in jar and add
1 drop liquid dishwashing detergent. Run the blender on PULSE
for 10 seconds. Discard soapy water. Rinse with clean water.
This function is not a substitute for regular cleaning as
instructed in Cleaning . This function should never be used
when blending any mixture containing eggs, milk, or any
other dairy products, meats, or seafood.
The Quick Clean function should only be used to rinse the
blender between batches of processing the same food. When
the processing of a single type of food is finished, the blender
should be disassembled and thoroughly cleaned as instructed
in Cleaning .

exposée éloignée du couvercle et commencer à mélanger
en utilisant la vitesse minimale.
17. Visser fermement le collet de sûreté SureLoc ™ sur la

Laboratory et basées selon des lames de mélangeur disponibles
