VLAN Group

Up to 9 port-based virtual LAN (VLAN) groups can be designated for the switch.
Individual ports can exist in two or more VLANs simultaneously, so VLAN groups can
overlap or intersect. For a more detailed discussion of VLANs, see Chapter 6.
Using the space bar, select each port that you would like to be included in the assigned
VLAN. A "v" under the port number indicates the port is in the designated VLAN
group. Figure 5-3 gives an example of different VLANs assigned to different ports.
Notice that a port may be a member of more than one VLAN.

Note: In order to use VLAN segmentation in conjunction with port trunk groups, you
must first set the port trunk group(s), and then you may configure VLAN settings. If you
wish to change the port trunk grouping with VLANs already in place, you will need to
reconfigure the VLAN settings after changing the port trunk group settings.
