ASSEMBLE
CURTAINS/TOP
RAIL
Install top rail with four 13/32" screws.
Slide left-hand curtain assembly into
left end of top and bottom rails. Repeat
for right-hand curtain assembly. Fasten
curtain retainer strips to the sides of
the outer case with six 13/32" screws.

PREPARE
WINDOW FOR
INSTALLATION
Inspect window track, sash, and s i l l
f o r i t s ability t o supportthe weight o f
a i r conditioner.
Measure the width between the
window moldings to ensure the Instant
Mount will fit the window frame.
Instant Mount models are designed
for windows wide (for details see
page 15)

Storm window installation
I f storm window frame does not allow
adequate clearance below s i l l (1/2"
required), remove storm window
frame or create clearance by adding a
wood strip ( a t least 1 1/2" wide) along
entire wid t h o f s i l l . Fastenwood strip
t o s i l l with a t least three countersunk
wood screws (not supplied with k i t ) .
This provides a smooth surface f o r
mounting a i r conditioner.
