The Transmission/Reception Mode
Three Transmission/Reception Modes are available.
* Note and Pedal messages can he received and transmitted regardless of the mode selected.
* Mode l is the default setting.
p As you play the keyboard and depress the pedals, only Note and Pedal messages are
transmitted and only these kinds of messages are received. Even though you switch
Voices, Voice switching (Program Change) messages will not be transmitted. Pro-
gram Change messages can be received, however.
this mode is identical to mode |. However, the HP-3800/2800 will not respond to
Program Change messages. This is useful when, OMNI is On, and you want to play
the piano using messages coming in on all MIDI channels.
an In addition to Note and Pedal messages, a variety of messages about settings can be
transmitted and received. When Voices are switched using panel buttons, the appro-
priate Program Change messages are transmitted. This is the Mocle to use when re-
cording a performance on a sequencer.
While holding down the FUNCTION button, depress the Soft pedal for mode (1), the
Sostenuto pedal for mode (ID, or the Damper pedal for mode (H).
