How Index Signals are Marked

Watching the Beginning of Each Recording
Consecutively — Index Scan
You can watch the beginning of each recording
consecutively by detecting index signals one by one.
1 insert a cassette with index signals marked on it.
2 Press INDEX/AMS SEARCH/SCAN until "INDEX 0" and
"SCAN" appear in the display window and on the TV
screen.

SCAN
3 Press INDEX/AMS PPI (or K44)-once.
The VCR advances to the next (or previous) index sign
Then the VCR plays back the tape for approximately 10
seconds and then moves to the next index signal in the
selected direction.
4 Press > PLAY when you locate the desired index
signal.

Normal playback resumes.
You can locate a desired program and play it back
automatically by specifying its index position.
