Using alkaline batteries

Preparation
To use the drive with four size AA (LR6) alkaline batteries (not
supplied), attach the supplied battery case to the bottom of the CD-
ROM drive.
With batteries, the drive will operate for about two hours if the drive
is used as a CD-ROM drive, or 12 hours if used as a CD player.
When alkaline batteries are used, the drive operates at 4x
speed.

Attach the battery case to the bottom of the CD-
ROM drive.
Slide the battery case
until it is locked to the
position.
Align the two
projections.
Playing an Audio CD
The drive functions just like an audio CD player.
Starting playback
Make sure the drive is connected to a power source.
1 Insert a CD into the disc compartment.
2 Plug the headphones (supplied) into the PHONES
jack on the drive.
Press
Pll.
When playback starts, adjust the volume with the VOL control.
