Editing Recorded MDs
Notes on Editing
You cun edit the recorded tracks after recording, u>tng
the following functions:
• I'rnck Erase Function allow* you to erase recorded
tracks -.imply by specifying the<orr*5p«.nding track
number
• All Erase Function ullows you to erase tin* contents
of an entire Ml)
• A*B Erase Function allows you to specify a portion
within a track to erase it.
• Divide Function allows you to divide tracks at
specified points so that you can quickly locate those
points .it ter wards, using the AMS function
• Combine Function allows you to. umbine two tracks
into one.
• Move Function allows you ti* change the order of
track* by moving a specific track to.»track position
you want
• Name Function allows you to create and edit titles
for your recorded MDs and tr.ii k.-
• Undo Function allows you to cancel the List edit
To enter Edit Menu
1 While the deck is Mopped, playing, or pausing,
pros* MENU/NO to display "I dit Menu."
2 Turn AMS to select the desired editing function,
then press AMS
If "Protected" or "Cannot Edit" appears in the
display
I ho deck could not edit because the record-piutccl dot
on the MD is open Edit after closing the slot
When "TOC" and "TOC Writing" flash in the display
Do not move the dock or pull out the AC power cord.
After editing, "TCX" lights continuously until vou
eject the MD or turn oft the deck. 'TOC" and "TOC
Writing'' flash while the deck is updating the NX
When the deck finishes updating the TOC. ' Tex'" and
"TOC writing" turn oft
Erasing Recordings
Do the procedures below to erase following'
• A single track (Track Erase)
• All tracks (All Erase)
Erasing a single track (Track Erase
Function)
You can erase a track simply by specifying the
respective track number When you erase a track, the
total number oi tracks on tin- MD decreases by one and
all track.- following the erased one are renumbered.
Since erasing merely updates the IOC. there 15 no need
to record over material.
If To avoid confusion when erasing multiple tracks,
you should proceed in order of high to low track
number to prevent the renumbering of track- Unit
have not been erased yet.
