11. Secure the brake release cable to the tractor idler
bracket with clevis pin and small hairpin clip,
using the hole in the idler bracket as shown in fig-
-urelO.
ATTACHING THE CHUTE DEFLECTOR
WARNING: Do not operate the tractor
unless the chute deflector has been
properly installed.
Remove the hex bolts, hex nuts and cupped washers
which are attached to the deck next to the chute
opening. Place the chute deflector in position as
shown in figure 11. Secure with hardware just
removed.

ATTACHING THE DECK WHEELS (Hardware F)
Attach the wheels to the deck as follows. All wheels
must be placed in the same relative position.
Front Wheels:
Place front deck wheel on front axle bolt (3-1/4" long),
then the cupped washer (crowned side of washer
goes against the wheel). See figure 11. Secure to
front of deck with lock washer and hex nut. Tighten
securely.
Rear Wheels:
Place flat washer, 1/2" I.D., on rear axle bolt (2-1/4"
long), then the deck wheel and cupped washer
(crowned side of washer goes against the wheel).
See figure 11. Secure to rear of deck with lock washer
and hex nut. Tighten securely.
TIRE PRESSURE
The tires on your unit may be over-inflated for ship¬
ping purposes. Reduce the tire pressure before oper¬
ating the unit. Recommended operating tire pressure
is approximately 12 p.s.i. (check sidewall of tire for tire
manufacturer's recommended pressure).

WARNING: Maximum tire pressure under
any circumstances is 30 p.s.i. Equal tire
pressure should be maintained on all
tires.
LEVELING THE DECK
After attaching the deck to the tractor, check to be
certain it is adjusted properly.
1. Check tire pressure in all four tires. Recom¬
mended pressure is 12 p.s.i.
2. Make certain all deck wheels are mounted in
same relative location.
3. On a level surface, engage the PTO and lower
the deck until it reaches the ground.
All four deck wheels should reach the ground at
the same time. If they do not, adjust the deck
links as necessary.
