Install water-resistant wall
material so the
paperbound edge is at
least 1/4" (6mm) above
the finished, concave
surface of the module
6. Complete the Finished Wall
- If you have not already done so, carefully remove the protective tape from the module surfaces.
- Apply 1/8" (3mm) thick furring strips to the studs.
- Apply silicone sealant to the nailing in flanges.
- Install the water resistant wall material so the paperbound edges are within 1/4" (6mm) of the finished, concave
surface of the module. Seal the joints between the module edges and the water resistant wall material with
silicone sealant.
- Apply tape and mud and finish the drywall.
- Seal all openings around the valves and outlets with silicone sealant or plumbers putty.
- Install any extra grab bars or towel bars to the bridging previously installed. Follow the accessory manufacturer's
instructions.
- Install the shower rod to the wall so the shower curtain will hang inside the shower module. If installing a shower
door, follow the manufacturer's instructions.

7. Clean-Up After Installation

- When cleaning up after installation, do not use abrasive cleansers, as they may scratch and dull the surface. Use
warm water and a liquid detergent to clean the surface.
- Remove stubborn stains, paint, or tar with turpentine or paint thinner. Do not allow cleaners containing
petroleum distillates to remain in contact with any module surfaces for long periods of time. Remove plaster
by carefully scraping with a wood edge. Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, or other metal tools. Use a
powder type detergent on a damp cloth to provide mild abrasive action to any residual plaster.
