TROUBLESHOOTING
Before concluding that the player is out of order, please refer to this troubleshooting guide to make sure that there
is not a simple remedy for the problem. Most performance problems are caused by set-up errors, bad connections
to other components, or malfunctions of other components. Find the symptom from the chart below, and try the
suggested remedies.

Disc table does not open
when OPEN/CLOSE
button
is pressed.
¢ Power plug is disconnected from outlet.
¢ Power switch is not turned on.
© Be sure components are plugged in pro-
perly.
e Press the power switch to supply power
to player.
When playback is
attempted, player im-
mediately stops, and disc
table opens.
¢ Disc is loaded upside down.
e Load disc correctly with label side up.
No sound is produced.
e Connecting cords are not connected
properly.
e Amplifier is not operated properly.
e RCA-plugs or amplifier input terminals
are dirty.
e Player is in pause mode.
© Connect cords securely.
© Check amplifier settings and volume
control.
® Clean plugs and/or terminals.
e Press the PLAY button.

Sound is distorted.
© Connections are incorrect.
e¢ RCA-plugs or amplifier input terminals
are dirty.
© Check the connections to the amplifier.
Do not connect to the PHONO input
terminals of the amplifier.
® Clean plugs and/or terminals.
When playing a particular
disc, loud noise is produc-
ed, or playback stops.
© Disc is severely scratched or warped.
© Disc is extremely dirty.
e Use a different disc.
© Clean the disc.
