Instrumentation
GAUGES
Tachometer
A
On vehicles with a petrol engine,
the tachometer indicates upto
7,000 revolutions per minute.
On vehicles with a diesel engine,
the tachometer indicates upto
6,000 revolutions per minute.
Engine coolant
B
temperature gauge
At normal operating temperature,
the temperature indicator remains
within the centre section.
If the needle enters the red
section, the engine is overheating.
Switch OFF the ignition and
determine the source of the
problem when the engine has
cooled down. Also, See "Cooling
system reservoir" on page 105.
Fuel gauge
C
The arrow adjacent to the fuel
pump symbol indicates on which
side of the vehicle the fuel filler
cap is located.
The Low fuel level warning light
illuminates at approximately
18
80 kms before the tank is empty.
Refuel as soon as possible.
Always have sufficient fuel
in the tank.
Speedometer
D
Indicates the current road surface
speed.
Vehicle message centre
E
The display is activated when the
driver's door is opened or the
ignition is switched ON.
With the ignition switched OFF
(Position 0) and the key removed,
the display will be automatically
deactivated after approximately
10 minutes.
Distance to empty and

digital clock
Press the right hand

instrument cluster briefly to toggle
between displays.
Tripmeter

The tripmeter can register the
distance of individual journeys.
