ACCESSORY ITEMS
Connection Precautions
Do not turn this product or the stereo components ON
before all connections are completed.
® The INPUT/OUTPUT terminals of this product are as-
signed as "L" for the left channel and "R" for the right
channel, Be sure to connect to the correct channel.
@ Insert the connection cables correctly. Improper con-
nection may result in no sound from the speakers or
cause background noise.

Power cord
POWER-CORD CAUTION
Handle the power cord by the plug. Do not pull out the
plug by tugging the cord and never touch the power cord
when your hands are wet as this could cause a short
circuit or electric shock. Do not place the unit, a piece of
furniture, etc., on the power cord, or pinch the cord.
Never make a knot in the cord or tie it with other cords.
The power cords should be routed such that they are
not likely to be stepped on.
A damaged power cord can
cause fire or give you an electrical shock. Check the
power cord once in a while. When you find it damaged,
ask your nearest PIONEER authorized service center or
your dealer for a replacement.
Be sure to switch the power of this product and the ste-
reo components ON only after all connections of stereo
system are completed.
Connection of Speaker Cord
Strip off the vinyl coating and put the wire ends together.

@Loosen the screw.
@ Tighten the screw and fasten the wires.
NOTE:
Be careful to avoid wires from sticking out from the terminal
and touching other wires, as this. might cause malfunction.
impedance of Speaker System
Speaker systems with a nominal impedance of 4 to
16 Q can be used.
Connection of input and Output Cords
® Connect white plug to "L" side and red plug to "R"
side. Make sure to insert them securély.

® Insert the pin plug of the connecting cords securely.
Incomplete plugging may result in noise or insufficient
sound.
