Addressing the detector
Set the device address using the rotary dials on the detector
head. The address range is 001-128.
Use the X10 dial to set the tens and the X1 dial to set the ones,
as shown in the figures below.
Device address 008

Device status

The device status is indicated by the status LED (Figure 1,
item 2), as shown in the table below.
State
Alarm
Prealarm
Isolation active [1]
Device fault

Communicating [3]
[1] KE-DP3120W only.
[2] Indicates an active Locate Device command from the control panel.
[3] This indication can be disabled from the control panel or the
Configuration Utility application.

Detector sensitivity

Configure the detector sensitivity at the control panel or using
the Configuration Utility application.
Sensitivity settings
The available sensitivity settings are shown below.

ISO 7240 test fire support
The detectors support ISO 7240 test fires TF1, TF2, TF3, TF4,
TF5, TF8, and TF9. Test fires TF1, TF8, and TF9 are not
covered by EN 54-7.

Maintenance and testing

Maintenance and cleaning
Basic maintenance consists of a yearly inspection. Do not
modify internal wiring or circuitry.
Clean the outside of the detector using a damp cloth. If
required, clean the inside of the detector (to remove dust and
debris) using a vacuum cleaner.
Testing
Always test detectors after installation to ensure that the
detector communicates with the control panel. If the detector
does not communicate with the control panel, check that
duplicate addresses have not been assigned.
