Important: Before connecting1 up the
machine to new pipework or to pipework
that has not been used for some time,
run off a reasonable amount of water to
flush out any debris that may have
collected in the pipes.
Whether discharging into a sink or a
standpipe check that the end of the drain
hose is neither too high nor too low. The
top of the curve in the hose's end should
be no more than 85cm (34in) and no less
than 50cm (20in) above floor level
(figure 5).
Finally, make sure that with the machine
in position, the drain hose is not
obstructed, blocked or bent so sharply
that water cannot flow freely.
The electrical connections

should this safety measure not be
observed.
If the plug that is fitted to your appliance
is not suitable for your socket outlet, it
must be cut off and the appropriate plug
fitted.
The cut off plug should be disposed of to
prevent the hazard of electric shocks in
case it should be plugged into a
13 Amp socket in another part of your
home.
