Important Notes

The coolbox is intended for refrigerating food in cars, trucks, on a boat or on camping sites. It
operates via a DC compressor and is thus more or less insensitive to being placed at an angle
(max. 30°). To ensure that the system functions perfectly, the unit should be placed horizon-
tally. The appliance must be switched off if positioned at a slant of more than 30°. After being
returned to an upright position again, allow to rest for approx. 30 minutes before switching on.
Do not place flammable liquids or gas bottles in the coolbox. Danger of explosion!
Do not place any hot food and/or drinks in the box, pre-chill them if possible.
Always store food and drink in closed containers and bottles in the box. This will prevent the
aroma and flavour being impaired and any running over or leaking out.
Store the items to be cooled so that the air in the coolbox container is able to circulate around
the food.
When operating as a freezer, any liquids in the box will freeze, and glas bottles can burst !
The coolbox should be placed in a dry place and should not be exposed to direct sunlight or
any other heat source (i.e. radiator). Avoid placing it in an area in which it may be accidentally
splashed or sprayed with water or other substance that might enter the electrical compart-
ment.
Make sure that the ventilation openings of the coolbox are not blocked.
The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.
Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
ATTENTION : The cooling circuit contains refrigerant and may not be damaged.

Before use

After removal from the cardboard packaging, make sure the appliance is not damaged. Do not
operate a damaged unit. In case of doubt, contact your dealer.
Before use thoroughly clean the inside of the coolbox using a soft cloth and ordinary washing-
up liquid. Do not use any strong or abrasive cleaners. (see chapter "Cleaning") The coolbox
should be wiped dry after cleaning.

Electrical connection

Depending on the equipment the coolbox can either be operated on DC (12V - 24V) and / or
on AC (100V - 240V; 50/60 Hz).
The cables for both connections are located on the rear of the appliance.
In circumstances, where AC and DC are available, both plugs can be connected to the sup-
plies. The controller will automatically switch to AC when it is available and change over to DC
in the event the AC supply fails or is switched off.
The use of an extension cord is not recommended.
