Selecting the Receive Mode
Select a desired receiving mode by pressing the RECEIVE MODE button repeatedly. The selected mode is j
displayed.
RECEIVE MODE
ANS/FAX mode:
MAILBOX — 4$ [IE Fax When you wish to set the unit to record incoming voice messages and also
receive fax messages, select this mode.

zu TEL/FAX mode:
MAILBOX AS y C Ta When you wish to answer voice calls with ring and wish to receive fax
messages without hearing ring, select this mode.
You can answer voice calls only and will not be disturbed by incoming
faxes.

FAX mode:
When you wish to receive fax transmissions only, select this mode.
The unit will answer all calls and start to receive fax messages
automatically.

— e TEL mode:
MAILBOX — AS ju 7" € When you wish to set the unit not to answer any incoming call
automatically, select this mode. ;
When you pick up the handset and fax reception is required, you can press
the START/SET button to receive documents.
If no one answers a call by 15 rings, the receiving mode will switch to the
ANS/FAX mode automatically.
Note:
e Regardless of above setting, you can make voice and fax calls.
