2.1 Preparing the hardware

About preparing the hardware
Before ClickShare can be used to its fullest, some preparations must be completed. Depending on the setup
of the meeting room or previous experiences with ClickShare the amount of checks can vary.

2.1.1 Activating the Base Unit

Power state
It is recommended to verify the state of the Base Unit before starting to use ClickShare. This can help avoid
basic issues and will guarantee a faster and more stable start of the meeting.
Depending on the configuration of the Base Unit, the current state of the device can be:
In sleep modus
On standby
Powered on
Another state
The state can be easily defined through the information on the connected display or by checking the LED ring
around the camera module of the Base Unit. For more information, see
Turn the Base Unit on

Is the Base Unit ready and powered on?
If yes, no further action required.
If no, continue with the next step.

Wake the Base Unit by pressing the standby button on the side. (reference 1)

Note: If the Base Unit is not waking up, verify that the power has been plugged in. (reference 2)
To signal the device waking up the LED ring will start glowing.

If the device does not wake up, contact the local IT department.

2.1.2 Built-in camera

Overview
A camera is built into the Base Unit. To optimize the functionality and quality of the camera image ensure the
following steps:

Remove the lens cover or any obstructions in front of the lens.
