Accepting a call
An incoming call is indicated by ringing, by a display on the screen and by the flashing Hands-
free key (if available).
The display shows
the caller's name if it has been stored in the directory
the caller's number if it has been sent
Accepting the call:
Switch the ringtone off:
Protection against unwanted calls
Enabling/diasabling the ringtone
An incoming call is not signalled by ringing, but is displayed on the screen.
Switching the ringtone on/off:
Ringtone is disabled: the following icon is shown on the display
During a call
Changing the volume
Applies to the current mode being used (hands-free, earpiece or headset, if available):
Press
Set volume
The setting is automatically saved after around 3 seconds, even if
Muting
Disabling the microphone in the handset, the hands-free facility. The other party to the call no
longer hears what is being said.
If the left function key is assigned the function Toggle Microphone:

Press the Talk key
When Auto Answer is enabled:
Remove the handset from the charging cradle
MENU
Silent . . . The call can continue to be accepted while
being shown on the display
or:
Press the End call key
Press and hold the Star key
Making calls
is not pressed.
Press the Function
