Installing/Removing/Cleaning
the Dust Screen
Remove battery to avoid starting
1.

screwdriver into the notch at the top of the dust
screen and pry away from the tool.
3. To clean the dust screen, tap against a hard
surface, or blow clean with compressed air.

AUTOSTOP™
AUTOSTOP™ detects quick rotations, such as
those caused by kickback, and shuts off the tool.
To test AUTOSTOP™:
1. Remove accessories and their fasteners (such
as nuts or flanges) from the tool.
2. Stand away from objects and people.
3. Firmly grasp the tool's handles.
4. Hold tool away from the body.
5. Start the tool.
6. Quickly rotate the tool about 90° in any direction.

7. If AUTOSTOP™ is working, the tool will shut off
and the AUTOSTOP™ light will flash.
8. If AUTOSTOP™ is not working, the tool will
continue to run. Repeat the test. If the tool will not
automatically shut off, return the tool to the
nearest authorised service centre.

To start the tool, grasp and hold the side handle
triggers, then the main handle firmly. Push the
lockoff button forward and squeeze the paddle
switch.
To stop the tool, release the paddle switch or side
handle triggers. Make sure the tool comes to a
complete stop before laying down the tool.

starting work, test the wheel by letting it spin for
one minute before applying it to the workpiece.
