CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH WITH CHAIN SYSTEM
Failure to comply with the instructions in this warning can result in severe injury
Do not modify any component of the Centrifugal Clutch with Chain system.
Doing so may reduce its strength so that a failure may occur at a high speed.
The Centrifugal Clutch with Chain system has been precision balanced. Any
modification will cause the system to be out of balance, creating vibration and

large amounts of force on clutch components. Extensive engineering and
testing has been conducted to ensure the safety of this product. However, as
the owner, you have the following responsibilities to make sure this system
• Always follow all recommended maintenance procedures. See your
HAMMERHEAD dealer, or other qualified person, for service and repair
assistance.
• This Centrifugal Clutch with Chain system is intended for use on
HAMMERHEAD products only. Do not install it in any other product.
• Always make sure the Centrifugal Clutch with Chain system housing is
securely in place during operation.
CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH WITH CHAIN SYSTEM
DRYING
There may be some instances when water is accidently ingested into the
Centrifugal Clutch with Chain system. Use the following instructions to dry it out
before operating.
Exposure to salt water will cause corrosion to metal components. If your
vehicle is operated in salt water areas, rinse it off frequently with fresh water.
1. Start the engine. Apply varying throttle for 10-15 seconds to expel the
moisture and air-dry the clutches. Do not hold the throttle wide open for more
than 10 seconds.
2. Allow the engine RPM to settle to idle speed.
3. Your vehicle requires service as soon as possible. A HAMMERHEAD dealer
or other authorized person can assist.
