FEATURES AND CONTROLS
ENGINE ON / OFF SWITCH
The vehicle is equipped with an engine ON/OFF Switch. Toggling the switch to
the OFF position shuts down the engine. Before driving this vehicle, test the
Engine ON/OFF Switch to assure that it operates properly. Place the switch in
the ON position and follow the starting procedure outline in this manual. Once
the engine is running, toggle the Engine ON/OFF Switch to the OFF position and
verify the engine shuts down.
BRAKE PEDAL
Depress the brake pedal to slow or stop the vehicle. Apply the brakes while
starting the engine.
THROTTLE PEDAL

Push the throttle pedal down to
increase engine speed. Spring pressure
returns the pedal to the rest position
when released. Always check that the
throttle pedal returns normally before
starting the engine. Make sure there's
adequate throttle pedal freeplay. See
the Throttle Freeplay Adjustment
section for procedures.
MECHANICAL SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM
The adjustable throttle limiting bolt is located behind the throttle pedal. Use the
following procedure to control how far the throttle opens.
1. Loosen the jam nut.
2. Unscrew the bolt to the desired stopping point.
3. Re-tighten the jam nut.
WARNING
Do not remove the adjustable throttle limiting bolt. Removal of the throttle
limiting bolt could cause throttle cable damage, engine damage, or irregular
throttle control.
