To watch another TV program while recording
1
Press TV/VTR to turn off the VTR indicator in the display window.
2 If the TV is connected to the VCR's LINE OUT jacks, set the TV to TV
input; if not, skip this step.
3 Select another channel on the TV.
To save a recording
To prevent accidental erasure, break off the
safety tab as illustrated. To record on a tape
again, cover the tab hole with adhesive tape.

Tips
• To select a channel, you can use the nurnber buttons on the rernote conm_ander.
Enter the channel nurnber, then press ENTER.
• You can select a video source fi'orn the LINE IN jacks using INPUT SELECT.
• The display appears on the TV screen indicating infbrmation about the tape, but the
infbrmation won't be recorded on the tape.
• If you don't want to watch TV while recording, you can mrn off the TV. When using
a cable box, make sure to leave it on.
Notes
• The remaining tape length rnay not be indicated accurately fbr short tapes such as
T 20 or T30, or tapes recorded in the LP mode.
• The display doesn't appear during still (pause) rhode, search rhode or slow rnotion
playback.
It rnay take up to one rninute fbr the VCR to calculate and display the i_rnaining
tape length after you press DISPLAY.
