(1) Turn the STEP switch on. (You may take the

(2) Depress the START/END switch.
The LOWER
track lamp turns on automatical-
ly. (UPPER and PEDAL tracks turn off and are
not recorded.) The display screen changes as
shown in the figure.
Notes:
If the lamp does not light up and the display keeps
on showing
tempo
if the START/END
switch
is
depressed,
it means
that the LOWER
track has
already data recorded in real time. If you want to
record on the recorded LOWER
track, first erase
the contents (refer to page 17.)
If the display indicates the chords or generates a
sound, it means that the LOWER
track has already
data recorded by Step. If you want to record on the
recorded
LOWER
track,
first erase
the contents
(refer to page 17.)
Set the registration for rhythm and automatic
accompaniment.
Play the chords
you want
to record on the
lower keyboard.

There
are two ways
as follows
for storing
chords by the way the switch are pressed.
e Storing chord by beat

BE
Press the right arrow switch while pressing the
keys for a chord. The chord is stored with a beep
sound
to the numbers
of beat and bar which
is
indicated by the display. (As soon as the chord is
stored,
the
display
indicates
the
next
beat
number.)
e Storing chords by bar

Simultaneously
press
the
arrow
switches
while
pressing the keys for a chord. The
chord is stored until the end of the bar which
is Indicated by the display. (As soon as the
chord is stored, the display indicate the first
beat of the next bar.)
