    Hardware Description This description applies to all WatchGuard® SSL 500 and WatchGuard SSL 1000 models. Front view The photograph below shows the entire front of the devices. The photograph below shows a close-up of the left side of the device. From the left: LCD indicator panel and console buttons The LCD screen shows device status information.

The device boots from the appliance software. Safe Mode Safe Mode returns your SSL device to the factory default settings.
