Internal memory and "Memory
Stick Duo" back up
Do not turn o|| file calnera or remove file battery

Always protect your data by nlaking a back up

Notes on recording/playback
• Before you record, make a trial recording to
make sure that file camera is working correctly.
• This camera is neither dust-proof, nor Slflash-
I?root, nor watcr-prool. Read "Prccauflons"
(page 30) belore operating tile cmncra.
• Be careflll not to get the canlera wet. Water
entering the inside of the camera may cau_
malfunctions which ill some cases may not be
repairable.
• Do not aim tile cmnera at tile sun or ()tiler bright
light. It may cau_ tile malflmction of your
canlera.
• Do 11ol u_ the camera near a location dial
generates strong radio waves or emits radiation,
Tile camera may not be able to record or play
back properly.
• Using tile canlera in sandy or dusty locations
nlay cause lnalfllncflons.
• If [noislllrc condensation occurs, remo'+'e it
before using tile camera (page 30).
• Do not shake or strike file camera. Ill addition to
nlalfunctions and an inability to record images,
this nlay render file recording medimn unusable,
or cau_ image data blvakdown, danlage or loss.
• Clean the flash surlacc belore use. Tile heat of
flash emission may cause dirt on the flash
surlace to become discolored or to stick to the
flash surlace, resulting ill insullicient light
emission,
Notes on the LCD screen
• Tile LCD screen is manul, tcmred using
extrenlcly high-precision technology so o_er

eflcctive use. However, fllere nlay be some tiny
black points and/or bright points (white, rod,
blue or green in color) that constantly appear on
the LCD semen. These points arc normal in the
manuMcturing process and do not affect tile
recording ill ally way.
On image data compatibility

established by JEITA (Japan Electronics and

• Playback <if images recorded with your canlera
