COFFEE BREWING

Warning! During coffee brewing, do not
remove the fi lter-holder by manually turning
it clockwise. Danger of burns!
• During this operation the machine ready led may
fl ash on and off; this operation should be consid-
ered as normal and not as a fault.
• Before use make sure that the "hot water/steam"
dispenser is closed and the water tank of the
machine contains enough water.
• If the machine is off, turn it on by means of the main
switch.
• During this warming phase the machine ready led
fl ashes; wait until it is permanently on. The machine
is now ready for coffee brewing.
The machine has been studied and created
to obtain the best performance with Illy
pods.
Warning! By pressing the coffee button
during the warming phase, hot water
fl ows out from the coffee brew group: danger
of burns.
• Insert the fi lter into the fi lter-holder.
• Insert the fi lter-holder into the brew group from the
bottom.
• Turn the fi lter-holder from left to right until it locks
into place.
• Preheat the fi lter-holder. Then, by pressing the
coffee button, water will fl ow out from the fi lter-
holder (this operation is only necessary for the
fi rst coffee).
• When 50cc of water have fl owed out, press the
coffee button again to stop the dispensing of hot
water.
• Remove the fi lter-holder from the machine by turn-
ing it to the left and pour the remaining water out.
