Technical requirements for Wi-Fi operation in the 5 GHz band
Wi-Fi access points that are capable of allowing your device to operate in the 5.15 -
5.25 GHz band are optimized for indoor use only. If your Wi-Fi network is capable of
operating in this mode, please restrict your Wi-Fi use to indoors to not violate federal
regulations to protect mobile satellite services.
Devices to operate in the 5925~7125 MHz Band shall not be used for control of or
communications with unmanned aircraft systems.
