Troubleshooting chart

There is fuel
1. Fuel
Check if there is
fuel in the fuel Some fuel

No fuel
2. Compression
Use electric starter
to see if there is
compression
3. Ignition
Remove plug and
check electrode
4. Battery
Use electric
starter
Remove the
fuel pipe
Turn the fuel
cock to "OFF"
Turn the fuel
cock to "RES"
Supply fuel
There is compresson
No compression
Wipe clean with dry
Wet
cloth
Attach plug cap and
Dry
ground to chassis
Engine turns
Battery good
over quickly
Engine turns Check fluid, recharge,
over slowly check connections
Water or dirt
mixed in fuel
Check fuel flow
Restart engine
Compression normal
Ask a Yamaha dealer to inspect
Use electric
starter
