■ Operation of CD DIRECT playback
The digital sound of Compact Disc features an ideal
reproduction-characteristics, and the sound quality
provided by CD can be reproduced with least degradation
by means of the CD direct playback function.
■ Listening to CD while recording
another source
Press the CD DIRECT key.

2 Play the CD player.

The CD DIRECT selection is given priority to any other source
being selected by the INPUT SELECTOR knob.

Notes:
1. During CD DIRECT playback, the graphic equalizer does notfunction.
2. When the TAPE 2/ADAPTOR selector on the rear panel is set to the
ADAPTOR position and the ADAPTOR indicator on the display is lit,
the CD DIRECT playback function cannot be carried out.

Select the source to be recorded.

Set cassette deck 1 to record-pause mode and
play the source to be recorded.

Start recording on the cassette deck connected
to the TAPE 1 jacks.
•
When the I EQUALIZER] key is pressed, the sound can be
recorded together with the equalizer effect.
4 Press the CD DIRECT key.
CD
Lights up.
0 Play the CD player.
•
The source name on the display remains the same, i.e.thename
of the recorded source.
•
The total level of the source being played and source being
recorded is displayed with spectrum analyzer.
