8. Inspection / Transportation / Storage
1. Release the cover from either the attachment point in the front grille or the rear
bumper.
2. Position the recovery eye through the bumper and rotate it clockwise into the
attachment point on the body until it is fully seated.
3. Attach the winch cable to the recovery eye.
4. Pull the vehicle slowly onto the trailer or transporter.
Note: If the winching angle becomes too sharp and the vehicle still needs to be
winched further, the lower control arms can be used to fit the vehicle properly onto
the truck.
Note: After using the recovery eye, store it back in the trunk and re-install the cover
on the attachment point.
Winching a vehicle with power
If the vehicle has power and the gear can be set to N (Neutral) for the wheels to roll
freely, use the tow eye to winch onto the flatbed.
Winching a vehicle with no power
If the vehicle has no power and the Electronic Parking Brake is engaged, use skid
pads or skates on all four wheels and nylon straps on the lower control arms.
