BEFORE FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging from the appliance.
• Unpack all parts and check for damage that may have occurred during transport.
If any parts are damaged or missing, do not use the appliance and return it to your
retail outlet immediately.
• Rinse the interior of the kettle thoroughly before first use. Fill the kettle up to the
MAX mark, boil and then discard the water. Repeat 2-3 times. Then finally rinse the
inside with cold water and with a soft damp cloth wipe the outside of the kettle.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

USING YOUR KETTLE

1. Remove the kettle from the power base (8).
2. Open the lid (2).
3. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water. Ensure the water level is above the
minimum marking (MIN 0.5L / 17 oz) and below the maximum marking (MAX 1.7L / 58
oz) on the water level gauge (2).
4. Close the lid (3) into place.
5. Place the kettle on the power base (7) making sure it is in the correct position.
6. Fully unwind the power cord (6) and slot the power cable into the cable recess on
the bottom of the power base (7). Insert the plug (8) into the wall socket.
7. Press the ON/OFF switch (5) to turn on the kettle.
• A blue light illuminates when the kettle is on and turns off when the kettle is off.
• The kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled.
8. To manually switch off the kettle at any time, lift the ON/OFF switch (5) up towards
the O marking.
9. Unplug the kettle from the wall socket when it is not in use.
CAUTION
• Do not overfill the kettle, as boiling water may splash out from the spout or lid
resulting in scalding.
• Ensure that the ON/OFF switch (5) is clear of obstructions and that the lid (3) is
properly closed. The kettle will not switch off automatically if the ON/OFF switch is
obstructed or the lid is open.
• Never open the lid while the water is boiling.
• Always switch off the kettle before removing it from the power base.
NOTE: Do not worry if moisture appears on the power base (7). It is condensation from
the steam that is released to trigger the automatic off switch on the kettle.
