Basic Picture-Taking

1. Connect a power source to the CAMERA (See page 26)
(A battery pack or an AC power adapter)
2. Set the device to CAMERA mode and the powerswitch to the REC mode.
• Open the LCD monitor.
• Ensure that the Memory Stick has been properly inserted into the device.
• Make sure the image you want to record appears on the LCD monitor or viewfinder.
• Make sure the battery level indicates that there is enough remaining power for your
expected recording time.
3. Press the PhotoButton halfway down to set the focus.
• A Sound Effect will play when the focus is set.
• Press the Photo Button halfway down to automatically set the focus, White Balance,
and exposure for the best results.
4. Press the PhotoButton firmly to take a picture.
• While the camcorder is recording the still image, "_" appears on the screen.
• ThisAuto Power off feature is designed to save battery power.
• Take a photograph in 2m distance from a photographicsubject in low illumination.
